Client

UK medical book publisher.

Items

Graphs and flow charts for a medical book.

How did we fix a few of the client’s problems?

  • The client needed 42 graphs (varying types) and flow diagrams made more professional and illustrating in their house style, to fit the design of the rest of the book.
  • We added horizontal lines to aid reading of the graphs.
  • Bright and appealing colours to further increase interest.

Client

Redraw for author.

Item

Illustrations for medical textbook.

How did we fix a few of the client’s problems?

  • The author only had low-quality scans of these illustrations. We were asked to completely redraw, edit and improve all the illustrations.
  • We were careful when redrawing and rerendering not to loose any of the details in the scanned images.

Original map design/cartography for a publication/report. Image shows city centre

Client

Leicester BID (Business Improvement District).

Item

Map showing the business improvement district area and key locations for their report/publication.

How did we fix a few of the client’s problems?

  • The client needed a very detailed map of the area they were developing and proposing new ideas for. We produced a very clear, legible and in-keeping map (in relation to their website and overall corporate identity).
  • We added a grid over the map to help users refer to and identify areas and locations more easily.
  • The map was available in a range of formats from print ready files to PDFs (which can be made any size).

Client

Action for Brazil’s Children Trust.

Item

Map for an annual review/report.

How did we fix a few of the client’s problems?

  • We designed a map showing the areas which the charity focuses on and develops. This map allowed readers and investors to see exactly where the locations mentioned to in their publication were referring to and also allowed investors to make more informed decisions.

Map design/redrawing/retracing, technical illustration/cartography. Image shows a map of Norwich city centre

Client

RoaR Art Gallery and Archive.

Item

Gallery location map for website.

How did we fix a few of the client’s problems?

  • We designed a clever and useful map for the client. The map needed to print high quality at varying sizes for people to use and get to the gallery (before Google Maps was introduced).
  • We used a clever key for the map relying on colour, but also making the colour values work if printed in greyscale (by the use of numbers as well).
  • The map has key locations and landmarks in Norwich city centre that people know and can identify.

Pictograms/icons design/illustration for wayfinding/signage end of year exhibitions

Client

Norwich School of Art and Design.

Item

Pictograms for end of year exhibition 2006 signage (proposal).

How did we fix a few of the client’s problems?

  • There was a need for a system of pictograms to compliment and aid the wayfinding system we proposed. We designed all the main pictograms, which were actually quite tricky to conceptualise.
  • The pictograms can be used not only as an aid to the wayfinding system, but for their website, emails, publications, social media and all sorts of corporate communications.
